Travel with us along the Platte River Valley and experience one of Nebraska’s wonders of nature with a trip to see the Sandhill Crane migration. This will be a must-see wildlife opportunity for birding, photography and nature enthusiasts. The relaxing and educational two-day journey will take place on Tuesday, March 23 and Wednesday, March 24, 2010. The trip will include two private viewings of the Sandhill cranes, transportation, hotel accommodations, meals and snacks.
The group will depart Lauritzen Gardens on Tuesday at 2 p.m. and travel by motorcoach to the Rowe Sanctuary just outside Kearney, Neb. Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning will be spent viewing the magnificent cranes in a private blind, and the group will return to Omaha late afternoon Wednesday.
Cost of the trip for a single occupancy room is $245/member and $255/non-member. Double-occupancy rates are $215/member and $225/non-member. Three and four-person room rates are available.
