Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21, 2010
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days
The 23rd Annual Orchid Show will be held at Lauritzen Gardens and hosted by the Greater Omaha Orchid Society.
The event will feature orchid displays from local, regional, national and international vendors and growers. Visitors will get the opportunity to see prime specimens of these exotic plants up close. Prize-winning orchids are juried by experienced orchid judges sanctioned by the American Orchid Society.
Ask local orchid experts all of your orchid questions, and gain beneficial knowledge on these beautiful plants. Learn about requirements for these special flowers such as light, moisture, temperature, air movement, humidity, problems and pests, potting media, fertilizing and repotting.
This year's vendors come from as far away as Ecuador and include a growing supplies dealer, and new to the show, a grower of fine quality slipper orchids.
Standard garden admission rates apply. Members are admitted free. Join today!
