"Winter, Autumn, Summer" by Inna V. Kulagina
On display from January 3 through February 19, 2010
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily
The botanical paintings of Inna V. Kulagina are expressionistic in spirit. Her style is as evolving as she is, reflective of the environment in which she lives. She has lived in Honduras, the United States and Germany, which has given her ample opportunity to look at art from the point of view of different cultures, economies and political systems.
A native of Soviet Central Asia, Kulagina now resides in Nebraska, which "has the biggest sky I have ever seen, with fields full of yellow and brown and clouds kissing the earth," she said. Visit her exhibit titled "Winter, Autumn, Summer" on display from Sunday, January 3 through Friday, February 19.
